Delta Green Ground Beetle — California, USA
Elaphrus viridis

Small, bright and almost jewel-like, this little beetle carries an intensity that belies its size. Its detailed green surface catches the eye, while its tiny body seems perfectly equipped for a world hidden close to the ground.
