Inspired by the strangeness of the natural world.

Schönherr's jewel weevil — New Guinea
Eupholus schoenherrii

Blue and green, with bands of dark markings, this beetle seems almost impossible to have been made by nature. Its unusual colour and shape give it the feeling of something discovered rather than something expected.
