I'm pleased to be exhibiting at Anna Lovely Gallery in Sydenham as part of the Sydenham Artists Trail. It's wonderful to be involved in the trail again, having first taken part back in 2014.
The Sydenham Artists Trail is an annual celebration of the creative community in and around Sydenham, bringing together local artists and makers and opening up galleries, studios and other spaces to the public. It's a great opportunity to discover the work of artists living and working in the area, and to experience the creativity that is such an important part of Sydenham's character.
Anna Lovely Gallery is an artist-led gallery, exhibiting a mix of well-established and up-and-coming artists.
The exhibition brings together a diverse range of work, including painting, drawing, printmaking, ceramics, sculpture, textiles, glass and photography, showcasing the variety of creative practices represented on the trail.
For this exhibition, I will be exhibiting Ascent and Descent.

Part of the Creatures of Character series
Ascent and Descent explores ideas of movement, transformation and celestial energy. The work is inspired by the sense of movement between opposing forces, rising and falling, expansion and return, creating a feeling of transition and change. It forms part of my ongoing Creatures of Character series, where I explore the relationship between imagined forms, energy and the human experience.
